Where loneliness strives... Chapter four

Chaotic sea

The deity of the sea sat still on a large rock at the center of the sea, once covered by the sea itself but with her powers, the body of water wall repelled from it. She stared at the sky which had now returned to it former emptiness and darkness, it had been so for various months now with no sighting of the moon, all she could do was worry.

"My empress, will you continue this way forever?" a white whale asked, it had been observing changes to her everyday it went by and grew worried of what would happen to her if she didn't return to her original form.

She ignored his question and also his existence for nothing mattered to her now except her heart which was now empty.

"What can we do to appease thee?" a dolphin asked leaving his brethren to continue on their way home. She turned her glance away from the sky and down to her subjects who looked rather worried, her sadness clearly visible on her face and grief understandable by all.

"My subjects, my heart has refused to come home to me, only his return can appease me" she said.

"We know of this my lady and have sent word to all the creatures of the sea like you requested, but none have seen or heard of the deity closest to your heart" a shrimp said.

"Yes my empress, I have even spoken to the creatures of the sky and yet even the great creatures with the best sight have not seen him" the whale said bowing his head in sadness.

"Then what use am I? What purpose do I live for? If I can not find my heart beat" she wailed causing the waters of the sea to become chaotic and the sky stormy.

"My lady, please do not say such words, you are all we have, without you and your gracious blessing we are nothing" the shrimp said accompanied by the agreeing nods of the rest of the subjects.

"You speak well but words can not fill the vacuum I feel within me" she said returning her attention to the empty dark sky.

"We can't let our queen suffer this way" the dolphin said.

"Indeed we can't but what can we do?" the shrimp asked.

"Look! It's the sun deity approaching" the tuna announced as the deity of the sun approached them swiftly.

"But it isn't yet time for dawn" the whale said wondering why he had come.

"Maybe he noticed our plight and has come to render us some help" the shrimp said, " either way we have to go before we get burnt".

The sun landed softly in his deity form causing the water around him to evaporate and the creatures to swim away. "Queen of the seas, I request an audience" he said bowing his head low.

"What is it you want?" she said giving him no attention, she had never had interest in him.

"I come bearing news" he said disgusted at the way she treated him but he hid it with a fake smile.

"It would have to wait for I am expecting my heartbeat's return" she said.

"That's why I am here, this concerns both you and your lover" he said, hearing these words drew her attention completely away from the sky.

"Yes, what do you know about him?" she asked.

"So now my words interest you? I thought you were all high and mighty, now look at you" he said mocking her.

"Do you wish to mock me? Then mock me but please tell me what it is that you know about him" she knelt down begging at his feet.

"Oh! How the great has fallen" he said with a grin on his face, pleased with himself and the sight he beheld.

"Please do not make me plead any longer, just tell me what it is you know and I shall forever be grateful" she said lowering her head to his feet.

"No my empress!" the whale yelled from afar.

"So this is the level of his importance to you, if only you could see your face now, what a pity" he said pulling her away from his feet to get a better view of her face as he said, "In my kindness of heart, I shall tell you what you desire to know, the deity you so love and cherish has been killed by the hands of those precious to the Supreme one, his demi form lays lifeless at their feet as we speak", these words sent shock waves to her heart, causing the once chaotic waters to stand still.
