Don't stray too far...Chapter four

Cave

"Where am I?", Dimma asked stretching her arms all drenched and cold, unaware of where she was, she could feel the cold breeze blowing towards her, but couldn't see where it came from. She tried rising from the ground but felt weak and fell right  back to her previous state. Her brain began banging the walls of her skull, with every strike came pain. She quickly held her hand over her head, wondering if she had bumped into something. She turned her eyes around to see what she could make out of the darkness, none were visible except a dim light ahead of her. Seeing this she mustered as much strength as she could and began to walk in its direction.

'Maybe I'm at the hotel', she thought as she walked. But the more she walked the dimmer it got, exhausted she sat down against a wall.

Suddenly the walls began to glow brightly, illuminating the passage ahead giving her hope, on the walls were images of skulls drenched in blood and some writings she could not understand.

"What happened to me?", she asked still feeling weak and exhausted, her mind flashed back to the sight of her darling Joshua being struck by lightening as he tried to save her from the blood ocean, before she herself got struck by another bolt.

"Joshua no!", she sobbed feeling more alone than ever before.

The dim light grew brighter as if it were calling to her, Dimma rose once more this time scared, and tried taking one step backward.

"Dimma!", a voice called from the light.

"Joshua", she answered recognising it as Joshua's voice.

"Where are you?", it called out once more, growing dimmer.

"I'm here!", she yelled running straight towards it with all the strength she had left.

"I can't find you anywhere!", it yelled growing dimmer once more.

"Joshua, please wait for me!", she yelled running closer, as she approached the entrance of the place where the light had shone from, she could see him inside smiling and waving her over. Seeing this, she leapt in to take his hand, but before she could he had disappeared and so did the light, leaving her to fall down flat on the cold floor.

"Joshua! Please don't leave me!", Dimma said as she laid there exhausted to her limit, her breath grew heavier, the vapor from her mouth and nose became visible, her eyes began closing slowly, her body felt ice cold.

"Is this hell?", she managed to say but these were last words, as she breath her last and then froze up turning to ice.

A drop of water drew down from the top of the cave and landed on her fore head, Dimma stretched her arms all drenched and cold, unaware of where she was, she asked "Where am I?".
